| Well, well, well... Two more trips to the Dealer and they finally "found" something that was not "within factory specs". I had taken it in twice because the drivetrain was shuddering between shifts. On the first visit, they took it in, checked it and thirty minutes later...told me that it was "within factory specs". After driving another 5,000 miles and the shuddering getting worse, I made an appointment to get a tech to ride with me. Sure enough, after about five minutes, he said "that shouldn't be doing that"! When we got back to the dealership, he asked me to put it into reverse (with the brake on). The car sat there and shook. Well, by the next day, they had found broken engine mounts, which took 1-1/2 weeks to get in and replace. I picked up the car, and the shuddering in reverse was gone, and it was reduced while driving, but was still there! This tells me that there is still a transmission/drivetrain problem and that had probably caused the engine mounts to break over time. This will no doubt happen again. All of this at about 42,000 miles. Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone else is having issues and the Dealer is telling you it's "within factory specs". Also may be inherent with the 4-cyl AWD model only? |

| Did they check any of the bearings in either of the two driveshafts for binding? Most driveline shudder originates there in my experience.

| At least this is covered under the 50,000 mile drivetrain warranty. What model year do you have? Any other issues with the Venza? |
