Hello All, I just purchased my third Toyota - 1. 1976 Corolla SR5 Liftback, 2. 2000 Tundra LTD/TRD and now a 2009 Venza V6. I love this new Venza. Although I am a sports car kinda guy, I wanted something a little more upscale, comfortable and versatile - but with some "style" - the Venza is it (for me). I hope to be spending a lot of time here.

What a change, going from a Tundra to a Venza................but I bet it's going to be a great one. The Queen and I are truck people but when we took the Venza for a test drive we fell in love and decided that maybe we only need 1 truck in the family after all. LOL. Congrats!

We ordered a Blizzard Pearl 4 cyl. yesterday. The dealer didn't give us any time frame as to delivery. Is it taking 3-8 weeks? We were going to get the NAV, but changed our mind since we have a Garmin. Did order the JBL with bluetooth. I owned a Camry back in the 80's and decided I needed to go back to Toyota. Trading in a smart car - quite a difference in size...LOL Did anyone get the roof rack? We are thinking about getting that. We ordered the carpets and usually take them out and put rubber mats in. Also order the Security, Body Molding, Window tint and the P4 Shield.

| We got both and I put the rubber mats in right away because the weather was still WET, its dry now but I havent put the carpeted mats back in yet, but soon I expect, I will however leave the rubber mat in the rear cargo area so my wife can't slime the carpet back there....grin...

Well I signed the deal today for a fully loaded Venza. I traded and turned in the BMW convertible today, but i don't get the venza until mid-August. Instead I am driving a loaner Camary off the used car lot until it arrives. I was told that there are manufacturer technical problems with the iPod integration kit and the dealer would not sell one for the vehicle. Has anyone had had problems with their kit? David

Noobie to the forum here, so be gentle. Ordered fully loaded V6 AWD Blizzard Venza last week and received confirmed build sheet the next day (delivery slated for 1st week of Aug. or thereabouts). I'm in Northern VA and, suprisingly, NO dealers in the Wash. DC area had the car I was looking for. My wife and I are 20+ year Mercedes owners and we're accustomed to lots of bells and whistles - so the Venza has Premium 2, Nav, Panoramic roof and the Tow Prep. The Tow package was the problem since very few of the Venza's in the DC area have it. I'll be rolling out of a lease on a Lexus RX350 to go to the Venza and I can't wait to get rid of the RX. We've had two Lexus SUV's over the last 5 years (GX 470 and RX 350) and I have to say that we are not members of the Lexus fan club. There were various problems with both the GX and RX over the years (driveline clunk and steering vibration in GX - both recognized design/manufacturing issues, and many rattles/squeaks/drivability issues with RX). All I can figure is that we were unlucky enough to get two lemons in a row since Lexus has such a sterling rep. Some random Venza thoughts - Generally love the exterior and interior design. Upscale look and feel throughout that seems more Lexus-like than Toyota-like. One thing I don't like is the grill (personal preference thing I suppose - most people will probably like the OEM look). There is a replacement available from E&G Classics (EG Classics Inc.: Products) but I'll decide once I've driven the Venza for a while. Disappointed at the lack of seat memory - we're so used to having it as standard equip. on our Mercedes that I think it is going to be sorely missed. I must admit that after researching our next purchase, I discovered that most cars in this segment do not have the memory option available. Rear-seat DVD option turned out to be a nightmare. We regularly end up with a car full of 5 year olds and wanted the robotic babysitter option. Panoramic Roof (only moonroof option available) takes away the roof-mounted DVD screen option. You must go with a fairly expensive headrest mounted entertainment unit if you want it built in. I decided to go with a fairly cheap portable unit work-around (so far the Sony DVP-FX930 is the leader although I would welcome other suggestions if members have experience with other units). Plan to use the excellent Venza audio connection to pipe the sound through the car's system. Speaking of excellent connections, I'm VERY impressed that the Venza is one a very few cars available that support the A2DP bluetooth stereo option. I use a Microsoft smartphone that just so happens to be able to send my stored music wirelessly to the Venza's JBL system. Very cool... Thanks and wish all other Venzites luck.
