Default Newbie in NJ - Feeling Guilty about not getting a V6

Hey Everyone,

Just purchased a 2011 Toyota Venza i4 FWD. The car is quiet and I love the ride, the interior and so on... You all know what I'm talking about.

After three days of owning the vehicle, I wish I would have purchased the V6. The car is reasonably quiet but I wish I could have had total silence from the 6 cylinder. I figured the several miles to the gallon saved in the i4 would have been worth it but now I'm reading that everyone gets about the same mpg. Ugh!

Please tell me there are some bigger benefits that I'm not thinking off At least I will feel less guilty that way...

I can tell you that I had the I-4 in my Frontier and it had 130,000 miles on it with not one problem when I traded it in. That should be worth something.

jiminb, the good news is that right now used cars are bringing record prices.
So if you are really that unhappy with the I4 you may just find a dealer who would give a great allowance for your car toward's one with a V6.
And the newer incentives may help make it worthwile.
Also, if you have a Carmax location near you you may want to see what they would pay you for the Venza?
Good luck!

Thanks everyone. After three solid weeks of owning the car, I have gotten used to the engine and must say that I am pretty happy. I may hold on to the car after all.

My I4 Tacoma served me well for 259000 miles before I sold it for $3000 and bought a new one, albeit a 6 cylinder.

I do love my V6 Venza though.
