| Damn Sam. We have a new Venza 4 cyl 2WD Blizzard White. We are very dissapointed. Poor quality of workmanship, particularly interior gaps, squeeks and rattles. Dealer says windshield has to be removed and reset to eliminate one of the squeeks. The entire console has to be removed to correct a large dashboard gap. Car is very noisy. Poor stearing and handling. Brakes are spongy but dealer said it is normal. Front doors rattle when closing and dealer again said it was normal? Too bad because we traded-in a Nissan Murano with 50K miles which was much better quality. |

| I've been around 5 first year models, 84 Harley Davidson Softail, 04 Nissan Titan, 07 Toyota Tundra, 08 Nissan Rogue and the 07.5 Dodge Ram with the New Cummins 6.7L engine and the two things that they all have in common is Growing Pains and after the owners got the problems sorted out they became great vehicles. There's a world of difference between test and production vehicles and it just takes time to sort out the problems. Some hang in there and get the bugs worked out while others trade or lemon law them...................I tend to stay and get things worked out and now have 120,000 happy miles on the Titan and 60,000 on the Dodge/Cummins but the choice is yours and the best way to work out the problems is to talk about and then report them to Toyota by taking the vehicle to the dealership. They can't fix what they don't know about................. Just my observations. |

| I took mine in for the loud noise during a heavy rain and they did nothing about it except show me the car while on the lift. NO undercoating here !!! I spent 3 hours and 5 cans of 3m undercoating and did it myself. I haven't had a big rain yet to test, but it has to be better. Scott

| Im sorry about all the problems you are having John !!! That really does suck.!! I have had great luck and Im now at 3400 miles and still doing great. I am upgrading the audio ( very slowly of course) and I used this product ( like dynamat) called Blackhole and it is rubber based unstead of asphalt based like dynamat. I used it in all 4 doors and in the tire well ( where the bulk of the system is going) and it seemed to quite down the road noise just a bit more. Any amount does help !!!! But, let me tell you, I have been a Honda man for so long and now that I own the Venza. WOW !! The honda's are LOUD !!!!! Nothing but road noise. !!! Now I know why young kids put big stereo's in Honda's! To drown out the road noise LOL Any pointers, e-mail me anytime ! hazardousconcepts@yahoo.com HC

| I forgot to mention somthing sorry ! If anyone changes their oil themselves, I asked toyota about the canister. They said it needs a special tool and it is 40 bucks at the dealer only. Well, i just purchased an 4 piece filter removal tool ( 4 different sizes) for 5.99 and the smallest one actually fit !!! Im excited now to change to oil. The filters are the cheapest on Amazon and the filter number is FRAM CH9972 5.68 This filter is over 11.00 buck at the local store and over 20 at the dealer. HC

Not being familiar with these motors, are not the filters, the standard spin on variety? Sounds not! Thanks Play Safe!

| Im not sure, but the oil filter on the Venza is a "Canister Type" and im use to the normal screw on type. It took me a while to find it but it is located on the Pass. side just above a plastic shroud and it is facing downward. My only concern is that when you go to unscrew it to drain it before taking out the filter, more than likely the oil is going to run allover the lid, and your arm before you take it completely off. They thought it throu almost all the way !! I guess I will let you know once I do it for the first time. HC
