Hi, thanks for the reply. I reported the problem 2 weeks ago and they performed a wheel alignment (which they said was slightly off), and stated the electric assist is "non-adjustable". The problem remained. If you could supply me the name of your dealer I could contact their service department and ask about the nature of the adjustment (ie, through the vehicles computer interface or a mechanical adjustment). I'm a mechanic and would understand what is required. Just a bit more to go on would help to explain that "yes, the power assist is adjustable" when I go back again to this dealer.

Have them try T-SB-0391-08...... which includes a bunch of adjustments and tire checks to correct problem.

Hi, Im just new to the forums and owned a '10 gray metallic I4 venza. Just purchased it 5 months ago and was already experiencing alot of tick and rattle noises in my venza. I first noticed it after 3800mi initially on my lf side front dash. Something like a vibration under the dash. I let a dealer take a look at it and left it there for a day. Initially they said that they are not hearing anything, not a noise on the dash but I argued since Im the one driving it for the longest time. Initially, they tighten the bolts around the dash and told me that it should have solved the problem. As i test drove it again, there's still noise that I can hear and left it for another day. They removed the plastic underdash and put some insulation on the metal thingy that holds the knee ABS. They also put some foam on the exits of some wires towards the left lower area covered by the plastic on the driver side. Its a fix thats what they told me. I drove around and because there are noises on the street, then I cant hear the noise clearly. But there are vague noises coming out of the dash. A few days later the noise became imminent most specially irritating and driving me nuts at night when Im alone driving on the street and freeways. The noise, sounds like a crackling sound ( a small firecracker) to best described it was noticeable on the left dash area. I even recorded how it sound. There is another "tick" on the top where the reading lights were located. I called Toyota Customer Care and told me that they will contact the dealer who made corrections on the problem. The dealer called me back to return the vehicle and set another technician to correct the problem. After a day, the dealer called me back and told me that all problems were fixed so to speak. They even drive around with the customer service manager and said that they no longer hear the noise. Im happy because they solved it FINALLY. Test drove it again and to my dismay, problem persists. I asked the service advisor to ride with me and pinpoint the problem. I told them, its different when you worked in a complex environment hearing loud noised and getting your ear used to it than living in an environment where sound are not loud. Sounds that are vague and soft are most specially irritating when its all you can hear when driving, specially if its infront of you and dont know what it is. Opening up the stereo will not solve the problem. I told them that its much fun to drive my corolla of 7yrs than my Venza. And to think Im paying more money in this piece of metal.

Now, don't you know, now that I've mentioned how great my Venza is, "crap" will start to happen. Never fails! Good Luck!
