Default New Venza Owner

2009 Venza V6 FWD Silver, with Premium Package 2 MSRP $ 38,175
dealer cost (confirmed by invoice) $ 33,839
My cost was $ 35,003 Out the door.
No other fees or charges of any kind.

In addition to the above cost I also bought the 7 year/100,000 mile Platinum bumper to bumper $0.00 deductable warranty for $995.00. This price was cheaper than the Warranty Shack. http://warrantyshack.com

As for the Warranty I told the the fleet manager Dustin Rafferty what I was going to pay for the warranty, he agreed to the price.

The people at Camelback Toyota in Phoenix are the best, no pressure, everything above board, strait forward, no hidden fee's.

Some of the dealers I talked to here in AZ were up charging to the tune of $4 Grand extra. But they would call it something else.

Welcome and that sounds like a pretty good price.

A realtime update on a quote for Extended Toyota Platinum Warranty.

Just moments ago, I called the dealership I had posted earlier to get a quote for the extended warranty on the new venza scheduled for production on April 6th.

They quoted:

7-yr 100K miles, 0-deductible: $854
7-yr 75K miles, 0-deductible: $595

Re: SpecialAgentVenza, looks like you did very well on your warranty locally.

When I talked to the warranty manager at the dealership, He said he's been VERY busy writing warranty contracts. He also said his strategy is to sell a lot of warranties at substantial discounts and make a few bucks than make a lot of bucks on a few warranty contracts. He's reaching out to a national market versus relying solely on his dealership's local sales to drive his warranty sales. This is a smart move.

Just a FYI.... as you can see - BIG margins on warranty contracts. Remember..... the dealers have no skin in the game...... it's pure profit margin with no downside costs as all they are doing is moving paper and padding margin contribution margin of each car sale - with the size of margin being dependent upon how much a customer is willing to pay.
