Has Toyota eliminated the older problems noted?

I 2nd that on the purchase. Had mine since May 2009 and love it. And I cant wait till it starts snowing to see what this baby really can do.

Just to wet your appetite....
Our family spent the Thanksgiving holiday in a cabin in western Maryland, which was located at the the end of a fairly long and rather steep hill at the lake's edge. Overnight, we received 3-4 inches of snow with an additional 3" on the way. Our Venza (AWD) pulled that incline with nary a "grunt", "slip" or "slide".

It performed beautifully!

We have put 10K on our Venza and love it...few oil changes and alignments (lot of rail road tracks)... Also had an console piece changed when we first bought it... no issues since... Great ride and decent gas millage... (especially compared to the 1967 Chevy C-10 with 500+rwhp and the 2004 F-250 with 450+rwhp)
