Well, needless to say, it did not go well. The rack did not work.

The parts folks ordered the rack from the '09 catalog as it was not listed in the '10 catalog with the assumption that it should work since there is no change between the 09/10 models.

We also reviewed the picture of a Venza in the '10 brochure and realized the car pictured did not have the panoramic roof. It appeared it did because of the reflection of the installed rack on the black paint.

That said, the dealer is going to do some more research and will let me know what they find out. This also leads me to ask is anyone has purchased a Yakima or Thule rack for a Venza with panoramic roof?

In Nov. 2009 bought a top of the line 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe instead. I have had no problems with it. There's a lot of them out there. This generation was introduced several years ago so most of the bugs have been worked out and there's no problem getting accessories

Wallydude: Did the dealer come up with a solution? I am in the same situation. I am scheduled to go next week for the install at the dealer. I guess I will ask for a refund and go with Thule if possible since I have Thule parts from a previous car.

Thanks,

Barry

I found out also from the dealer the factory rack won't work with a pano roof. I got a Yakima rack and it works fine. The feet rest on the metal, NOT THE GLASS. If you try to press down on the metal area it solid, does not bend. I cannot forsee problems with using this type of rack. The service department will tell you it is not recomended. They will also tell you they do not recomend installing an after market hitch, only a dealer hitch.

Yakima Q Towers, QClips 83, and 58" load bars. That is what you need for the pano roof. I have a 2010 with pano and it works great.
