I have the same problem. Its only when the vehicle is cold and has not been used. Like a thump sometimes a little louder than others. Hope yall post what is causing this. I will not take it to the dealer until it needs the oil change for now. Dont think its the tranny since if u put it in first and take off still does it. I get mine usually from 10 to 20 seconds after vehicle starts rolling.

New Venza driver (2009). I notice that whenever I drive off my driveway while turning (or if I am on an uneven surface) the car will occasionally make a "snap" sound.. sounds like it may be coming from the moon roof, or upper frame. I am at a loos what could be making this sound.

Anyone experiencing the same thing.?

I am having same problem, when start first time (I think it will do same if i put it to Park and then D), while it is shifting from 1 to 2, it makes that knock sound. Please let me know if you learn about the cause. Should I call my dealer?
