The blue tooth quality is very poor in my Venza regardless of phone carrier whomever you call has a horrible connection. Had the dealer try to troubleshoot the issue and found the same issue on other venza's on the lot. He alerted the toyota field service rep and now i am hearing back that its gone to the engineers looking for a fix. Are other Venza owners having issues with the bluetooth portion of the call phone system? I would be very interested in your experiences around this issue.

I have no problem with BT connection with my upgraded JBL system (no NAV) to my iPhone. Sounds great actually - to me and the people I call.

| I echo perrycom's remarks. I have the upgraded JBL Synthesis sound system without the NAV. It's so clear with the Bluetooh (and I have used it with a BlackBerry and a Verizon SmartPhone) that people can't even tell I'm talking "through" my car stereo. I have even had the sunroof open and the windows down (at speeds up to 40 mph) and been told the sound is still pretty clear. I would recommend deleting and re-pairing the device, and if that doesn't work, check with the dealer and see if there is a system problem. Good luck!!

I happen to have the JBL with the navigation and that the one that seams to have the problem, You maybe on to something in that the units with the navigation are having the problem. I spoke with Toyota corporate today and they do admit they have had some complaints like mine and have referred the issue back to engineers. I will repost once I have a answer meanwhile enjoy your Venza !

Sorry to hear you're having so much trouble. I took possession of my Venza on the 10th of this month. My Verizon LG8300 paired right away and had VG reception and use. MY only hiccup was my phone was not compatible when I wanted to transfer my contacts to the Nav/blutooth Db. Could you be experincing an incompatibility issue, as well? Do you know about Toyota Bluetooth Phone (click this link) for checking your cell's compatibility with the Venza bluetooth version.? Good Luck!

its doesn't seam to be a compatability issue we tried several different phones from different cell service providers and all showed the same poor quality. the reception in the car is fine its the reception for the person you are calling which is bad.

I own a 2010 Venza and have a similar problem with the bluetooth phone system. There is no problem with paring with phones but the person on the other end of the conversations can barely make out what is said in the car. The common description of the sounds coming from the car is that the volume is very low and it sounds like talking in a tunnel. The audio in the car is perfect. I do not have navigation or the JBL upgrade in the car.
