| I wanted more up-to-date car reliability information that included actual repair rates. So in late 2005 I started getting people together to make this possible. TrueDelta now updates actual repair frequencies, not just dots, four times a year, to track cars closely as they age. So far a couple dozen Venza owners have signed up to participate. A good start, but more are needed. So I'm grateful that this forum has agreed to help get the word out. Participants simply report repairs the month after they occur on a one-page survey. When there are no repairs, they simply report an approximate odometer reading four times a year, at the end of each quarter. To encourage participation, participants receive full access to all results, not just those for the Venza, for free. For the details, and to sign up to help out: Car reliability research

| I look forward to getting updates on this. I have now had the V-6 Venza with Package two and a panorama roof for 4 months and have put 4500 miles on it. Like the Prius we have, it has not had one thing that requires a dealer visit other than the first oil change. We have now had the Prius for over 2 years and 25,000 miles. Not one single defect. You might be interested to hear that we got rid of our $52,000 loaded VW Touareg V8, air suspension SUV and went to the Venza. The Touareg had 30 pages of service notes in the dealer's computer. It is a wonderful thing to have a car that only goes to the dealer for routine maintenance. |

| We have put 10K on our Venza and love it...few oil changes and alignments (lot of rail road tracks)... Also had an console piece changed when we first bought it... no issues since... Great ride and decent gas millage... (especially compared to the 1967 Chevy C-10 with 500+rwhp and the 2004 F-250 with 450+rwhp) Last edited by skrub67; 12-22-2009 at 10:17 PM. |

| I have been part of True Delta for a couple of years for my previous vehicle. It really is no bother to update the information. We get an e-mail every quarter and enter in any updates as needed. For most situations is about picking from a menu and entering your mileage. It is a great source of information and I wish there had been more info on the Venza when I was doing my research. I hope what I add helps others too.

| We have our first results for the Venza, based on owner experiences through December 31, 2009. So far, none of the 19 Venza owners participating has reported a repair. A big thank you to this forum and everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in May and August. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and include the 2010 as well as the 2009. Toyota venza reliability comparisons

A big thank you, once again, to this forum and everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in August and November. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and include the 2010 as well as the 2009. Toyota venza reliability comparisons

| Still shopping this cottage home job around, eh? Your data points are such an infinitesimal slice of the universe the results are irrelevant. Point in case: 25 Venza owners report not repair - and you really believe of the thousands of Venzas out there have had no repairs? Read this the the other forums you are trolling in and collect "real" data from there! GET LOST with your fraudulent report. |

| Where did I say I thought this meant that no Venzas anywhere had required a repair? I do think this means that Venzas are not likely to require repairs. Some no doubt require them, but less often than with the average car. You can gather meaningful information from a sample size of 25. Sorry that life has made you such a bitter, mean-spirited person.

| The last line was directed at your way of expressing yourself, not what was being expressed. Even if you were right, and you're not, your way of expressing yourself would be wrong. You appear to have missed the first two-thirds of my response. The size of the population has no bearing on the required sample size. It's not even part of the formula. This is basic statistics. I post here with the permission of the forum owner, and in return refer visitors to my site to this forum. I do not expect these or any other such facts to make a difference for you. I've encountered a fair number of people like you before, and the facts never matter.
