| Being cyclists, my wife and I immediately started looking for a bike rack for the Venza when we bought it. We intentionally bought a non-roof-rack blizzard pearl Venza so that we could put bikes and other gear on top. Well, I couldn't find one from Thule, Yakima didn't make one, and Toyota branded rack was extremely pricey. Then I came across this INNO rack on www.steapandcheap.com. This thing mounted right to the Venza crossbars just like the Toyota branded one. I mean, the mount is even rounded for the toyota crossbar and fits perfectly, just like the OEM one. Who knows, maybe it's made for Toyota...don't have time to research this, but for $65.00 on sale, I couldn't pass up trying it. You will see in a couple of photos that I "pinched" a piece of 6 ga electrical wire on the outside to make up for the slant of the bar. I think that the Toyota one is exactly like this...either you shim it on one side, or you just live with the bikes leaning to the outside which I can't stand. I know, I know...a copper wire!!! Well, it's all I could find in the garage, but the soft wire shell grabs perfectly. I also pinched a small piece of double sided tape in there for good measure. It sits almost perfectly level now and I'm happy with the way it works. It is also very quiet since it sits so close to the car. You will also notice that it does not interfere with the rear hatch at all...it is nearly a PERFECT fit!!! Anyway, thought I would share this in case someone else is looking for a cheaper bike rack for their Venza! Take care, Paul IMG_1864.jpg IMG_1865.jpg IMG_1860.jpg IMG_1861.jpg IMG_1862.jpg IMG_1863.jpg |
